Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was accepted by the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she studied the flute piano and harpsichord during three years. Lennox survived off a student allowance, and part-time employment in order to earn a living. Lennox was of the opinion that her talents did not match those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she began thinking about other options she could pursue. Lennox started her professional career in 1976 when she was a member in the band Dragons Playground. The band disbanded shortly before the band appeared to I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. She was the main member from The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to 1980. She was introduced to Dave Stewart, with whom they would create the pop duo Eurythmics. Following that Lennox started working on her solo first album Diva to be launched in 1992. In both commercially and critically the album was an immense hit. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album, released in October 2014 included Nostalgia Lennox. This C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's favorite blues, jazz and soul songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera A collection of four improvisations on piano was published by Lennox in May 2019. The E.P. is the companion album to her art installation in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now I'll Let You Go... The album is also her first release on her own.
