Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actor. She sings as well. She was raised by her mother in the USA. Her childhood was filled with racist remarks and felt unloved. In the 9th grade, she began to feel more secure after being praised by her teachers for her performance at school's audition. This not only increased her confidence but her dreams were changed. She was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. In 1993 she made her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was titled You've got Mail. The greatest achievement of her career was with her portrayal of The Lady Of The Lake on Spamalot's original Broadway production. She did not only get the Tony Award, but her performance was also highly praised by reviewers. Following that, she was cast as the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her becoming more famous. Known as a singer she also released a single and an extended version of her play. In addition, she's an activist who works hard for LGBT rights.
